Freight Transportation Specialist

We're seeking a detail-oriented and proactive logistics professional to join our dynamic team.
This key role involves coordinating daily transportation activities, ensuring smooth warehouse operations, and maintaining strict adherence to safety regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Logistics Coordination
- Plan and coordinate daily transportation activities, including route optimization, carrier selection, and load planning.
- Manage relationships with freight carriers and negotiate competitive rates.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs paperwork (if applicable).
- Track shipments in real-time and resolve any delays or issues that may arise.
- Warehouse Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the warehouse team to ensure smooth loading and unloading of shipments.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and potential disruptions.
- Coordinate with the customer service team to address delivery inquiries and resolve customer concerns promptly.
- Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze transportation data to identify trends, optimize routes, and improve delivery performance.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the transportation function.
- Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and prepare regular performance reports.
