About the Role
  • Manage audit engagements, including initial planning, analysis of controls and processes, preparation and review of audit documents and reports, and monitoring of engagement progress against budget and timeline.
  • Ensure engagement compliance with audit, accounting, ethical standards, legislation, and BDO policies.
  • Critically assess and enhance audit planning documentation for complex engagements.
  • Timely sign-off on all reporting and demonstrate ability to write complex client documents, including technical accounting matters.
  • Elevate BDO's profile through marketing channels like seminars, webinars, newsletters, and social media.
  • Ensure compliance with BDO independence, client acceptance, and continuance policies, and attend to risk management and quality control procedures.
  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and identify business development opportunities.
  • Coach and develop team members to achieve technical competencies and efficient performance.
About You
  • 7+ years of auditing experience.
  • CA/CPA qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and multitasking skills.
  • Significant experience of delivering audit and other assurance services to clients in a range of sectors, including ASX listed companies.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Australian and International GAAS, IFRS, and Financial Reporting requirements.
  • Business development experience - able to identify and convert opportunities to sell work.
  • Proven experience in managing a wide portfolio of concurrent projects and project teams in a project management framework.
  • Managing and monitoring audit engagement economics.
  • Previous experience in supporting and managing a team.

Negotiable salary based on relevant experience, starting from $145,000 (inclusive of super).
