Job Description:

The 2026 Commonwealth Games is an international, multi-sport event that brings together athletes from member nations of the Commonwealth in Victoria.

Key responsibilities include building on pre-agreed planning principles, capturing and resolving cluster-specific issues, and problem-solving or escalating major cross-cluster issues.

Facilitating the development of policies, project plans, emergency evacuation plans, readiness exercises, and venue C3 principles are also crucial aspects of this role.

Assisting with the recruitment and development of the wider team and coordinating detailed planning and overlay design processes are essential duties.

This role will evolve during the lifespan of the Organising Committee. Significant experience in similar roles within event management or venue management is required.

Requirements:
  • Experience in managing large-scale, international, and multi-sport events including planning, testing, and delivery of venue teams
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in Venue Management or Event Management in a similar role
  • Degree-level education in events, sport management, or a related field
