Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and participate in SPA advisory engagements for acquisitions or disposals by private equity investors, funds, or strategic corporate clients.
  • Provide expert advice on transaction mechanisms and financial analysis, helping clients identify suitable purchase price mechanisms and negotiate effective outcomes.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS AND INTERNAL CONTACTS TO DEVELOP A PORTFOLIO OF HIGH-VALUE PROJECTS AND COLLABORATE WITH OTHER EY SERVICE TEAMS TO DELIVER INTEGRATED APPROACHES TO CLIENTS.
Essential Skills and Qualifications

You will ideally possess:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, business, finance, or economics, and be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, CAANZ, or an international equivalent.
  • No less than 5 years of experience in a professional services or chartered accounting environment, or in a financial performance and analysis or mergers & acquisitions role at a corporate organisation.
  • The ability to quickly develop, build, and manage relationships with multiple clients and teams, both external and internal. Experience working with senior stakeholders on multiple engagements in a Transaction Diligence role or mergers and acquisitions environment.
  • An interest in understanding businesses, transactions, and deal value drivers. Passion for client service excellence, attention to detail, and the ability to grasp complex issues and explain them clearly to non-accountants.
