Embedded Linux Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Linux engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Debian or Ubuntu and be proficient in distribution packaging, software design, and system debugging.

This role requires a unique blend of technical skills and business acumen. Successful candidates will be able to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The Embedded Linux engineer will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements. This may involve participating in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux, conveying market requirements to key stakeholders, and contributing to the development or refinement of generic solutions to unlock market potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain our technology
  • Elaborate solutions to be proposed to prospective clients
  • Participate in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux
  • Convey market requirements to key stakeholders in our organization, and contribute to development or refinement of generic solutions to unlock market potential
Requirements
  • Fluent in Mandarin and willing to travel to China regularly
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Extensive Linux experience - Debian or Ubuntu preferred
  • Distribution / Packaging experience (deb, rpm, ...)
  • Solid embedded Linux experience (Yocto, Buildroot...)
  • Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust
  • Professional written and spoken English in addition to the local language
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Result-oriented, ability to multi-task
  • A personal drive to meet commitments
  • An humble learner and quick study
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings, company events, and conferences
