About Merchandise Planning


The Just Group is seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Planner to join our Dotti Planning team. As a Merchandise Planner, you will play a critical role in driving the financial performance of our brand by developing and managing the department financial plan.


Key Responsibilities



  • Build seasonal budgets in collaboration with the product team to maximize financial performance.
  • Implement and manage assortment plans to achieve department financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial projections.
  • Work closely with product design and sourcing teams to provide feedback on merchandise volume and attributes.
  • Undertake pre- and post-review preparation, analysis, presentation, and strategy build and execution.
  • Control department stock levels and weeks' cover, focusing on aged stock reduction.
  • Collaborate with the Inventory Management team to optimize stock levels, driving sales and profitability.

Requirements and Skills



  • Previous experience in merchandise planning, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Expertise in sales forecasting, budgeting, option planning, managing Over Budget (OTB), and inventory management.
  • Strong analytical mindset and passion for retail.
  • Able to demonstrate sound relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Excellent commercial and business acumen.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools.
