Production Engineer Role

This role is a key contributor to our organisation, playing a critical part in the safe and optimal extraction of resources from underground mining operations.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing production plans in line with short to medium term planning targets, ensuring that stope designs and subsequent drill and blast plans maximise ore extraction and minimise dilution.

The successful candidate will also lead and direct members of the technical and operational mining team, promoting goal unity through effective communication.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A BEng degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in underground hard rock engineering, preferably gold, with exposure to all production phases, including ventilation experience in Drill and Blast, ideally longhole open stoping methods.
  • A sound understanding of machinery and care of mobile mechanical equipment.
  • A valid manual drivers license.
