Exploration Geologist

The role of the Exploration Geologist is crucial in identifying and evaluating high-quality exploration targets that support the discovery and development of resources essential for clean energy.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting geological mapping, logging, and interpretation of drill core and spoil.
  • Supporting the planning, execution, and evaluation of geochemistry, geophysics, and drilling programs.
  • Ensuring compliance with JORC standards and regulatory approvals.
  • Collaborating with contractors to prepare drill sites and maintain core presentation standards.
  • Contributing to daily reporting and maintaining accurate geological records.
  • Assisting in cost management of exploration activities.
  • Championing a safety culture and participating in audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
  • Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.

Key qualifications for this position include a Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology (Honours desirable), previous experience in an exploration environment, strong presentation and communication skills, a current 'C' Class Manual Driver's Licence, Experience with lithium or copper is highly regarded, Remote First Aid & CPR or equivalent, 4WD Training, National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
