We are seeking a Support Worker for an opportunity working with a local NDIS participant in Casino NSW.

This role offers a fantastic chance to work with a culturally aware professional, providing personal care and daily living assistance to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care to an older female participant
  • Provide various support, including daily living assistance, personal care and community access, and ensure the comfort and wellbeing of the client
  • Work with a culturally sensitive approach

Role Requirements:

  • Female Support Worker
  • Experience or willingness to provide personal care
  • Cultural competence, particularly in working with Aboriginal communities, or a keen interest in learning (training will be provided)
  • Ability to start ASAP
  • Ability to commit to regular shifts (Afternoon shifts available Mon-Sun)

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or qualification
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid Working with Children Check
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Current driver's license and a reliable vehicle
  • Previous experience working with people with disabilities
  • Understanding of the NDIS and person-centered practice
  • Cultural competence, particularly in working with Aboriginal communities (highly desirable)
  • Experience or training in knowledge management systems (desirable)
