Job Opportunity

This is a fixed term, full-time position available for 33 months. The role will lead plant transformation services as part of an expert team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage transformation projects and lead a team focused on transforming key crop species that align with the service offerings.
  • Utilise tissue culture and molecular biology techniques used in plant synthetic biology experiments.
  • Assist with implementing and streamlining organisational processes; liaise with staff to ensure facilities run efficiently and adopt a community of practice for facility operations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new service offerings and improve methodologies.
About the Role

The Adelaide node enables plant synthetic biology services for agricultural crops, as well as for synthetic biology projects in 'model' plants. It provides infrastructure and expertise for research providers and institutions as a fee-for-service offering, and also provides incubation space for start-ups and opportunities to collaborate.
