About the Role
- We are looking for an experienced individual who can assist with dispensing medications, counselling patients on over-the-counter medicines, and learning to mix cancer therapies in a drug safety cabinet or using a closed-system safety device.
- The successful applicant will work closely with our healthcare professionals to provide optimum patient-centred care and pharmacy operations.
Responsibilities
- Dispensing medications according to prescription instructions
- Counselling patients on safe use of over-the-counter medicines
- Learning to prepare cancer therapies under supervision
- Providing administrative support and processing orders
Requirements
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in an Australian hospital or community pharmacy setting
- Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognized by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalism when dealing with patients
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
