Position Overview: Planning Project Manager

In this role, you will become an expert in our Optometry Roster processes, specializing in forecasting and rostering automation. You will be responsible for driving requirements, testing solutions, and defining optimal models and algorithms in collaboration with our UKG consultants. Following the project launch, you will share your expertise with our Optometry teams and facilitate the integration of new tools into their daily operations, ensuring seamless operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing innovative tools for the Optometry Rostering and Analytics Teams.
  • Overseeing the development, testing, and deployment phases for Go Live projects while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Enhancing Optometry Rostering based on analytics available six weeks in advance.
  • Optimizing schedules to drive eyecare revenue growth, balancing labor costs with sales, and improving hourly productivity.
  • Utilizing the labor forecast tool to create effective optometry schedules, ensuring alignment with forecasts and accommodating store budgets while delivering exceptional service.
  • Managing your time effectively and assisting with project team planning in relation to deadlines and constraints.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of continuous experience in Project Management, particularly in system integrations.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Employee Payroll Systems; knowledge of Kronos/UKG systems is highly desirable.
  • Strong prioritization skills to navigate a fast-paced environment and manage varying deadlines.
  • Managerial capabilities to represent a team within a project team and drive results.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to express ideas clearly and produce concise, readable documents.
  • Proven experience in effectively serving, managing, and supporting both internal and external customers.
  • A keen analytical mindset with a genuine enthusiasm for numbers and data.
