Role Summary

  • We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our culinary team in the role of Demi Chef.
Job Description

As a Demi Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation and production of all hot and cold food items for buffet and à la carte menus. This will involve ensuring that dishes are prepared in compliance with prescribed recipes and specifications.

You will also be required to maintain high standards of food preparation, handling, and storage, as well as recognize superior quality products, presentations, and flavor.

Additionally, you will plan and manage food quantities and plating requirements for the food operation, communicate production needs to key personnel, and produce production prep lists.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Exceptional technical expertise in culinary techniques
  • Strong creativity and innovation in flavor and presentation
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • Previous experience in luxury hotels or hatted restaurants is highly regarded
  • Skilled in pans and wood-fire cooking techniques
