As a CBRE Maintenance Technical Apprentice, you will develop on-the-job skills to maintain buildings, industrial systems, and equipment on an ongoing basis.
This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive training from experienced engineers in proper job safety and repair procedures.
- Observe engineers while they perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities.
- Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with management to ensure energy management by taking measures to verify that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
- Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
- Follow established procedures in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities.
- Contribute to the team's efforts through methods, tasks, and duties that are clearly defined and followed with minimal discretion.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school.
- Meet the physical demands of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
