Drafting Specialist

We are a family-owned manufacturing business that produces permanent formwork for concrete stairs and other associated products.

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to support our Technical & Design Team on a permanent full-time basis.

Job Description:

Main Responsibilities

- Read and interpret architectural drawings relating to fire stairs and general access/egress stairs
- Populate relevant parameters/data pulled from the drawings into our drafting software.
- Produce shop drawings in CAD
- Submit shop drawings to clients for review & approval.
- Communicate with clients, builders, architects, engineers & other consultants throughout the shop drawing review & approval process.

Your Key Duties

1. Read and interpret architectural, structural & other relevant drawings.
2. Populate relevant parameters/data pulled from the drawings into our drafting software.

4. Submit shop drawings to clients for review & approval.
5. Communicate with clients, builders, architects, engineers & other consultants.

Required Skills and Qualifications

You must possess the following skills to be considered for the role:

• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
• CAD experience
• Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Access experience
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
• Great attention to detail
• Practical/hands-on experience in manufacturing/construction
• Currently reside in Australia
