Job Title: Senior Intensive Care Unit Pharmacist
This position presents an opportunity for a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to lead the clinical pharmacy and quality use of medicines services within the Intensive Care Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital.
Responsibilities- The successful candidate will provide expert guidance and advice to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals providing clinical services in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Lead education and training of clinical pharmacists working in the Intensive Care Unit to facilitate 7 day per week service delivery.
- Participate in clinical pharmacy services provision including general roster, weekend, public holiday, and on-call rosters.
- Collaborate with senior clinicians in the Intensive Care Unit in the ongoing management of critical care patients.
- Postgraduate qualifications in either Diploma of Hospital Pharmacy or Diploma of Clinical Pharmacy.
- Current registration as a pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
- Advanced-level clinical practice in intensive care pharmacy, including skills and knowledge in critical care pharmacotherapy.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, maintain and share quality improvement and research activities.
