The ICRC's Regional Delegation for the Pacific is seeking a skilled Communication Professional to develop and implement innovative communication products, activities, and events that promote the organization's work and values.

\Key Responsibilities:\
  • \
  • Develop and implement communication strategies, plans of action, monitoring, reporting, and related tasks.\
  • Implement communication activities, develop tools for operational communication, community engagement, promoting international humanitarian law, building National Red Cross/Red Crescent Society communication capacity, public and digital communication, networking and engagement, information analysis/environment scanning, public affairs, and resource mobilization.\
  • Identify, conceptualize, create, and coordinate content collection and produce communication materials, including web editorial, audio-visual, social media posts, photo galleries, videos, and webcasts.\
  • Draft and pitch content to media, including news releases, blog pieces, and articles.\
  • Organize events, exhibitions, and promotional activities to raise awareness about the organization's work and values.\
  • Support communication-related training and coaching for Regional Delegation staff.\
  • Maintain and improve networks of relationships with media, government officials, and other stakeholders.\
  • This role will be based in Canberra and will have a significant impact on the organization's communication efforts.\
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.\
  • They will also have a strong understanding of the organization's values and mission.\
  • Additionally, they will be able to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.\\/ul>\
