Fibre Splicer Role

**Job Overview:**

This position involves installing, splicing and terminating fibre optic equipment for the NBN project.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Install fibre optic equipment in various settings
  • Splice and terminate fibre optic cables
  • Understand Type 2 & 3 FTTP architecture
  • Terminate Customer Connection Modules in SDUs and MDUs

**Required Skills and Experience:**

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:

  • Optical Fibre Technician experience on the NBN project
  • Single & ribbon fibre splicing and OTDR experience
  • Ability to read and understand cable plans and designs

**Additional Requirements:**

In addition to technical skills, candidates must also have:

  • A current Australian Drivers Licence
  • OHS Construction Card
  • NBN Enable Splicing Accreditations
  • A police check with no convictions

**Work Environment:**

Candidates will work across Melbourne metro and require physical fitness.

**Desirable Skills:**

Inducted with Servicestream, Ventia & Fulton Hogan is a plus, as is Optical Fibre Accreditation and ACMA (Open) registration.
