We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement safe systems of work to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine plant and environmental monitoring to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Respond to alarms from the Building Management System (BMS) and equipment breakdowns, and perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment and utilities, including mechanical, electrical, and automation-related works.
- Assist in managing service providers and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective maintenance.
- Coordinate maintenance access to production and lab equipment with collaborators to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
- Conduct equipment reliability studies using Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) data to identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) exercises to identify potential failures and implement corrective actions.
- Carry out engineering technical investigations to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Respond to facilities and utilities breakdowns, and perform emergency repairs as needed.
- Investigate and resolve electrical system issues as licensed.
- Diploma in mechanical, electrical, or automation engineering.
- At least 3 years of working experience in a pharmaceutical, hospital, or food processing industry.
- Proven record of ability to work as a team member and demonstrate good communication skills.
- Experience in multitasking, prioritizing, and showing initiative to complete tasks according to company goals.
- Adhere to OHS policies and procedures and ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment.
