Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project teams for the Installed Systems team, working on various projects across sporting venues, theatres, schools, public precincts, corporate facilities, parliaments, TV studios, and councils.
  • Coordinate resources and stakeholders, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor quality and performance, and summarize project progress and profitability.
  • Day-to-day management, including evaluating system and design systems, preparing documentation, and attending onsite implementations.
  • End-to-end management of project delivery operations, including project initiation, deployment, and evaluation.
  • Create project breakdowns, analyze costs, and submit contract submissions.
  • Ensure installation documents are ready for the install team, including site information, system block diagrams, and equipment layouts.
  • Develop detailed bill of materials, purchase requisitions, and special requirement lists.
  • Monitor operational costs versus budgets to ensure projects proceed according to scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Manage contractors, including working with human resources on contract negotiations.
  • Complete general administration tasks and travel to various sites and businesses.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in project management and/or construction management, with exposure to audio, network, and electrical systems. You will also have a minimum of five years of proven project/contact management experience, including installation of audio visual, commercial drapes, heavy mechanical, and electro-mechanical systems.

You will have a solid understanding of construction methodologies, including cable installations and structural integrity of materials. You will also have commercial acumen, with a strong understanding and capacity to meet client requirements with diplomacy and sensitivity to solving complex problems.

You will have proven practical experience with work health and safety principles and practices, as well as high-level organizational and administrative skills. You will be able to prioritize, organize, and coordinate multiple tasks against strict deadlines.

You will have exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and negotiate with a wide variety of clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

You will have excellent communication ability, including the ability to prepare accurate and relevant written reports and business communications.

You will have a high level of PC literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and Outlook, and understanding of CAD programs.

You will have excellent costing/estimating base, showing accurate margin delivery, coupled with solid commercial acumen with a strong financial focus.

You will have outstanding leadership capabilities and proven strength in leading and coaching teams.
