As a key member of our academic team, the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Rural Medicine plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching and advancing rural medical education.

The successful candidate will coordinate the Independent Learning Project (ILP) program, support rural research initiatives, and contribute to the academic education program at our campus.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with expertise in biomedical sciences, clinical medicine, or related health disciplines to join our team and make a meaningful impact on patient and local healthcare outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications">

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following skills and qualifications:

• A BMedMD, MBBS or equivalent medical degree with relevant professional expertise and eligibility for medical registration in New South Wales, and/or a PhD in Biomedical Science or a related discipline.

• Evidence and maintenance of professional development in pedagogy, disciplinary knowledge, and professional accreditation requirements.

• Demonstrated experience in teaching biomedical sciences, clinical medicine, and/or related health disciplines, including course development, delivery, and convening at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.

• A strong commitment to rurally focussed teaching and research to improve patient and local healthcare outcomes.

• A track record of successful interaction and involvement with relevant authorities, professional organisations, research, and training institutes, and health networks.

• Evidence of highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills.
