About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Accountant to join our client's team. As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining standard costs, developing new item costings, and conducting in-depth analysis to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain standard costs (bill of materials and routings)
  • Develop new item costings and work with various departments to understand the needs and impacts of various elements
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to support decision-making, including variance analysis, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Monitor and analyze costs to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas of opportunity within operations/supply chain
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators to track operational performance and provide regular reporting to management
  • Be trained and able to cover other tasks and roles in the department, as and when needed
  • Capital expenditure evaluation and reporting
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing/plant cost accounting experience, preferably in the Food/Beverage industry
  • Experience dealing with multiple currencies is a requirement of the position
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience working with an ERP System such as Oracle or SAP
