
Experienced Leader for Lived Experience Advocacy Program

As a key figure in our Lived Experience Advocacy Program, you will play a pivotal role in shaping policy, programs and practice through meaningful engagement and advocacy.
You will lead the growth and delivery of the LEAP and the Amplifying Voices Program, ensuring voices of people with lived experience of homelessness and domestic, family and sexual violence are elevated.
Duties- Program Design and Delivery: Lead the design and delivery of trauma-aware, strengths-based, and culturally safe programs that elevate lived experience voices in homelessness and DFSV.
- Partnerships and Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with government, community, and sector stakeholders to support advocacy and impact.
- Program Oversight: Oversee sub-contractors, partners and program components, including culturally specific initiatives and evaluations.
- Advocacy and Compliance: Promote LEAP and the Amplifying Voices Program, and support ethical, participant-led advocacy, while ensuring compliance, reporting, and budget management.
- Key Qualifications and Experience: Relevant qualifications and sector experience in social work, community development, health promotion, or related fields (postgraduate desirable).
- Lived Experience Advocacy: A strong background in lived experience advocacy and program management.
- Community Relationships: Proven ability to build trusted relationships with diverse communities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, CALD groups, and senior stakeholders.
- Understanding and Skills: Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, co-design principles, and the ethical foundations of lived experience advisory bodies.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to produce complex documentation and facilitate inclusive, accessible engagement.
- Location: Darwin/Palmerston, Northern Territory, Australia.
- Contract Type: Full-Time Ongoing.
