About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Workplace Health and Safety Professional to join our team at Coles Group. As a key member of our health and wellbeing team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the physical and psychological safety of our employees.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing specialist injury management, rehabilitation, and operational support to drive return to work outcomes for non-work and work-related injuries
  • Guiding and supporting early intervention and prevention programs
  • Designing, developing, and delivering site-specific and national health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Leading, coaching, and providing specialist advice to senior leaders to foster a culture of health, safety, and wellbeing
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, including People & Culture, Training, and Operations

About You and Your Skills

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum 3 years' experience in injury management, vocational or workplace rehabilitation, or workers compensation/self-insurance
  • Subject matter expertise in managing complex worker's compensation portfolios (inclusive of physical and psychological injuries)
  • Experience integrating a person-centred care model, workers compensation legislation, and business KPIs
  • Clear demonstration of designing, implementing, and integrating health and wellbeing initiatives, considering commercially viable and practical workplace solutions and associated outcome measures

You'll also need excellent communication and influencing skills, as well as the ability to work in a dynamic environment with team members from diverse backgrounds.

We're looking for someone who is passionate about promoting health and wellbeing in the workplace and has a strong understanding of relevant workers compensation, health, safety, and injury management legislation.

The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on industry standards and market research.
