About the Role

The Estimator will have good relationships with the project teams to plan and coordinate estimating and related functions to maximize success in tendering, contract extensions, contract renewals, claims, and analyzing quotes.

This position is a full-time permanent opportunity with flexible work options. Options to work (partly) from one of Ventia's offices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare tenders and quotes and associated reporting, participate in bid teams in preparation of estimates, along with cost build-up for contract extension, contract renewals, variations, and claims.
  • Review tender, extension, renewal, and contract documents and prepare estimate responses.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain various pricing models for variable service delivery contracts.
  • Develop specific models such as labor rate build, labor rate of effort, subcontract costs, materials, consumables, overheads, profit, and markup.
  • Prepare estimates, scheduling, labor cost calculations, and cost estimates.
  • Assist the project teams with pricing schedules for requests for pricing to suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Provide handover and debrief of estimate build-up to the project manager.
  • Source and identify, then evaluate, liaise, and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to establish value for money pricing proposals.
About You
  • Cert IV in Building and Construction (estimating, building, or site management) highly regarded.
  • Cert IV in Accounting, Finance, or similar highly regarded.
  • Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a maintenance, services, or facilities management environment.
  • Understanding of Enterprise Agreements, labor rules, and applications to pricing.
  • Ability to understand tenders and contracts to give clear, succinct guidance.
