Role Overview

The Senior Clinical Psychologist or Health Psychologist plays a vital role in providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions for patients with complex medical, functional, and psychosocial needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality Clinical/Health Psychology services including assessment, treatment planning, intervention, positive behaviour support planning, evaluation, and consultation to patients and their carers individually and in group settings.
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary clinical and planning activities to enhance the overall service provided to clients.
  • Establish systems for monitoring, reviewing, and improving the standards of services to clients.
Requirements:
  • Hold current registration with the relevant professional body, with an Area of Endorsement in Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology.
  • Have approved supervisor status at all levels of supervision, or: Be eligible to complete PsyBA-accredited supervision training and willing to undertake this training as directed by the organisation to support the services' supervision requirements.
  • Possess experience providing psychological treatments.
  • Demonstrate high-level ability to design, implement, and evaluate psychological procedures and interventions, including psychological assessments, and consultancy services, in relation to complex clients.
  • Be able to apply specialist skills in resolving clinical problems.
  • Demonstrate strong abilities in communication, liaison, and teamwork.
