Electrical Systems Engineer

Job Overview:

As a key member of our electrical engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical system designs that meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other infrastructure components.
  • Conduct site assessments and surveys to identify electrical system needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design and develop electrical control systems, including programming and testing.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on electrical system installations to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their electrical system requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest electrical engineering technologies and advancements.
  • Lead or participate in electrical engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of electrical system designs, installation procedures, and maintenance records.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and contractors to achieve project goals.
  • Manage and supervise junior engineers and technicians to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Plan and execute electrical system upgrades, renovations, and expansions.
  • Identify and mitigate electrical system risks, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to secure the best possible pricing and service.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical system design principles, electrical codes, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering software and tools, such as CAD and BIM.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
