Claims Officer

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payment claims from the NDIS for supports provided to our service users. This role is a key part of our operations, ensuring that we can provide high-quality services to those who need them.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and check approved data for claims.
  • Prepare and manage claims spreadsheets.
  • Follow up and amend claims errors.
  • Use of NDIS Provider Portal and processes.
  • Keep data records and track participant plan dates.
  • Accurately and promptly enter data into our database Dock'd.
  • Create service summaries and agreements for new plans.
  • Flag plans that are due for review or update with management.
  • Create and keep updated records and/or service bookings.
  • Respond to enquiries about participants' available plan funds.
  • Maintain current funding details and roster needs for participants.
  • Check and manage information relating to participants' NDIS funding.
  • Set up quotes highlighting breakdown of funds and coordination of information.
  • Liaise with Support Coordinators and Team Leaders in preparing bookings and agreements.
  • Word process letters, service agreements, reports and other documents as required.
  • Provide updates and reports to management on outstanding errors or any risks that may impact on the company.
  • Ensure you have current knowledge of NDIS standards, Disability Inclusion Act, NDIS Act and WH&S Legislation and implement any changes in standards of practice as required.
  • Follow Breaking Barriers Privacy & Confidentiality policy at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in disability services.
  • Experience in high volume data entry.
  • Experience in preparing and monitoring a high volume of documentation.
  • Experience with MS Office.
  • Excellent teamwork skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • A positive and professional attitude.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional presentation and phone manner.
Benefits:

This is a part-time position working 24 hours per week. The successful candidate will be rewarded with competitive hourly rate of $28.00 - $30.00 per hour.

Others:

We welcome applicants who are able to commute to our WYONG office based in NSW. A drivers licence is also required for this role.
