Position Overview
An exciting opportunity exists within KPMG's Office of General Counsel (OGC) for a skilled commercial lawyer. The OGC is engaged in a diverse range of corporate and commercial transactions, regulatory challenges, and litigation matters. We seek individuals who are committed to fostering confidence and driving positive change for our clients, our workforce, and the broader community.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate with your colleagues to:
- Draft and negotiate various commercial contracts and agreements.
- Evaluate new products and service offerings.
- Provide legal insights regarding tender documents and client service proposals.
- Work closely with business units and external legal advisors.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a current practicing certificate and will have:
- Post-admission experience in a reputable law firm or in an in-house legal environment.
- Experience in negotiating general commercial contracts (experience in engineering consultancy is advantageous but not mandatory).
- Exceptional drafting and negotiation capabilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive and business-oriented approach to problem-solving.
