Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Trader to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our trading operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving profitability and creating value. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and executing proven trading strategies, building and leading a high-performing team, and effectively communicating with internal stakeholders and external partners.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement successful trading strategies to generate profitable trades and manage risk effectively.
  • Lead a team of traders, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends and developments in the energy and iron ore sectors, leveraging this knowledge to identify trading opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with counterparties, brokers, and other market participants to enhance trading capabilities.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively present trading ideas, strategies, and performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze market data, economic indicators, and news events to make informed trading decisions.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as risk management and operations, to ensure seamless execution of trades and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Cryptocurrency trader.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing profitable trading strategies.
  • Proven ability to build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex trading concepts and strategies clearly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for identifying market opportunities and managing risks.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial markets, trading instruments, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficient in using trading platforms, market data analysis tools, and risk management systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field (advanced degrees are a plus).
