Job Title: Organiser - Act
About the RoleThis role involves developing and implementing effective campaigns to support members in their workplaces.
- Recruit new members and develop existing ones, delegates and workplace leaders.
- Build power and engagement within the union and among non-members.
- Promote the union's objectives and policies to achieve fairness at work and job security.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for social justice, experience with community campaigning or progressive organisations, and excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
A commitment to union values and principles is essential, as well as the ability to lead, organise and motivate individuals or groups. Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are also required, along with the ability to plan and organise work effectively.
Support and development will be provided to the successful applicant by the organisation.

- High level verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and organise, build relationships, motivate and develop individuals or groups.
- Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to plan and organise work and achieve outcomes.
- Ability to work semi-autonomously, demonstrate initiative, drive and resilience in a changing environment.
- Well-developed written communication skills.
- Current Driver's License.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience working in sales or membership recruitment, with a strong focus on meeting recruitment objectives.
- Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to develop and implement successful sales/recruitment strategies.
