About the Role

This is a full-time position based in the Canberra office, with the option for remote/flexible work arrangements. As an Oracle Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle databases, as well as collaborating with other developers, analysts, and stakeholders throughout the software development process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement database schemas, tables, views, indexes, triggers, procedures, functions, packages, and other database objects using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Omitise database performance, security, availability, and scalability using Oracle tools and best practices.
  • Create and execute unit test cases, debug, and troubleshoot issues, and document and maintain code quality.
  • Collaborate with other developers, analysts, testers, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to developers, delivery managers, and Health Business Applications team members.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Oracle development, preferably in a large-scale and complex application development environment.
  • Proficient in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including advanced features such as analytical functions, collections, dynamic SQL, and exception handling.
  • Experience in developing and deploying Oracle databases using Oracle tools and best practices.
  • Experience with change management processes and version control.
Desirable Criteria
  • Certification in Oracle technologies, such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), Oracle Certified Master (OCM), or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE), is a plus.
