Director of Environmental Strategy

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team dedicated to improving environmental data and information.
The Environmental Policy Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance environmental outcomes, as well as providing expert advice to stakeholders.
The role involves managing partnerships across government, academia, industry, and community stakeholders, as well as mentoring and supporting staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve environmental data and information.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
- Mentor and support staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
About You:
- You will have strong knowledge of Western Australian environmental legislation, policies, and government processes.
- You will have extensive experience in strategic environmental policy and delivering evidence-based technical advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to deliver high-quality environmental data and products that support regulatory decision-making.
- Represent the department at interagency forums, conferences, and workshops.
