Job Title: Youth Services Leader

">About the Role:

The Salvation Army is seeking a visionary leader to drive the future of youth services across South Australia. As the State Manager - Youth SA, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading our programs that support young people across the state.

We provide essential pathways for youth to explore opportunities, build networks, and thrive in their communities. From housing and homelessness, driver training, and education to employment, AOD support, and youth justice initiatives, we offer a broad spectrum of services that cater to diverse needs.

As a strategic leader, you will oversee the effective delivery of services and the ongoing development of our programs. You will manage contracts, uphold our Youth Services Model of Care, and ensure our services align with best practices, community needs, and organizational goals.

Your ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, including state government departments, will be critical in advocating for the needs of youth and securing ongoing support for our programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies to enhance youth services
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including state government departments
  • Manage contracts and ensure compliance with our Youth Services Model of Care
  • Oversee the effective delivery of services and the ongoing development of our programs
  • Cultivate an inclusive and high-performing team culture
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development, or a related field
  • A minimum of 10 years relevant sector experience, including management experience
  • Experience of active membership in community or government bodies within the sector
  • A national police record check
  • An international police record check (where applicable)
  • A relevant state Working with Children Check
  • A psychological assessment in line with the Children and Young People Safety Act 2017
