Job Description: Chief Financial Operations Specialist

$80,000 - $120,000 per annum (dependent on experience) for this full-time role at our Norwest Business Park office with flexible work-from-home arrangements. This position reports directly to the Director of Bookkeeping.

This is a senior-level accounting role that requires meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar senior role, managing diverse client portfolios and possessing a deep understanding of GST rules, small business tax deductions, and payroll regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple client portfolios with precision and expertise
  • Perform end-of-month accounting tasks, including reviewing P+L and Balance Sheet
  • Review quarterly BAS workpapers and ensure timely compliance
  • Assist with process improvements and digital system integrations across various industries
  • Drive efficiency and capacity planning, ensuring best practices are adopted across the team
  • Maintain and update workflow management systems via Xbert
  • Onboard new clients and provide bespoke financial reporting for advisory services
  • Resolve team and client inquiries, providing support and solutions with a customer-centric approach
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar senior role in bookkeeping or management
  • Proven ability to manage diverse client portfolios
  • A deep understanding and application of GST rules, small business tax deductions, and payroll regulations
  • A strong grasp of financial regulations, tax, and payroll systems
  • Experience in month-end accounting tasks and financial statement analysis
  • Ability to deliver bespoke financial reports and advisory services
  • Hawk-eyed attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
