Role Overview">

The primary aim of this position is to contribute to achieving optimal insurance-to-value ratios for high net worth homes, identifying potential risks, implementing loss prevention strategies and assisting in acquiring and retaining quality clients.

This role plays a key part in driving business success by assessing the replacement cost of high-value properties, keeping up-to-date with current building costs and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential risks and reviewing security and fire protection measures relative to insurance coverages.

  • Assessing the replacement cost of high-value properties using accepted valuation methods and staying informed about current building costs.">
  • Identifying potential risks and reviewing security and fire protection measures relative to insurance coverages.">
  • Reviewing exposure to catastrophe perils such as bushfire and flood.">
  • Providing recommendations to underwriters regarding risk acceptability based on Chubb's underwriting guidelines, local contracts and homeowner observations.">
  • Suggesting modifications to homeowners to improve unacceptable risks related to burglary, fire hazards and general exposures.">
  • Promoting Chubb's water damage prevention initiatives and sharing strategies with homeowners during appraisals.">
  • Preparing comprehensive reports detailing the results of risk investigations using existing reporting templates and adhering to appraisal guidelines.">
  • Identifying additional insurance coverage needs based on homeowner possessions and lifestyle and providing underwriters with sufficient information to pursue these coverages.">
  • Upselling Chubb products, benefits and services while interacting with homeowners.">
  • Contributing to departmental marketing efforts through informational and promotional sessions with producers/brokers.">
  • Assisting in reviewing and updating a construction cost matrix used for pricing assessments.">
  • Staying up-to-date with changes in security/fire protection, construction techniques/materials, loss trends and conducting research projects as required.">

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in property/valuations/construction or equivalent business experience preferred.">
  • Demonstrated numerical, written and oral communication skills.">
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role within an insurance/residential property environment.">
