The Opportunity

As an E-commerce SEO Strategist, you will leverage your expertise in organic search optimization to enhance our online visibility, increase traffic, and improve search engine rankings. You will work closely with our marketing and merchandise team to align campaign objectives across regions and manage budgets accordingly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic, resulting in sales and profit growth.
  • Conduct regular SEO audits to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze keyword trends and competitor strategies to refine and optimize content.
  • Optimize website content, meta tags, images, and URLs to improve search visibility.
  • E nsure all on-page elements follow SEO best practices and are aligned with the latest algorithms.
  • Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content that aligns with business goals.
  • Address technical SEO issues such as site speed, mobile responsiveness, and crawlability.
  • Implement structured data, schema markup, and other technical enhancements.
  • Monitor and manage the website's backlink profile to ensure quality and relevance.
  • Utilize SEO tools to track, report, and analyze website performance and search engine rankings.
  • Provide regular performance reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Optimize for local search results, particularly for store locations in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in an SEO role with a focus on large e-commerce brands.
  • Preferred experience using Shopify CMS.
  • Expert knowledge of Google's product suite and other relevant tools, including but not limited to Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush, and crawling tools.
  • High proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Ability to influence, educate, and bring together various departments to drive strategic SEO initiatives.
  • Proven track record of executing successful technical, on-page content, and off-page initiatives.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
