As a key member of the Australian Defence Force, you will have the opportunity to work on advanced maritime systems and platforms as an Electronics Engineer Submariner.

About the Role

This challenging and rewarding position involves leading a team of highly skilled electronics technicians to ensure the maintenance and repair of communications, sonar, navigation, combat data, fire control, and weapons systems onboard an advanced submarine. You will be responsible for providing critical advice to the Commanding Officer to inform decision-making and ensuring the engineering authority is exercised effectively.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring system performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Developing proposed modifications and repair solutions to optimize system effectiveness
  • Supervising and evaluating equipment trials to validate design and performance
  • Managing resources and personnel to achieve task objectives
  • Assigning and scheduling personnel to meet operational requirements
  • Funding management relevant to your role
