Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Care Worker.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children and young people in residential care settings.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing direct care and supervision to young people in a residential setting, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans that cater to the unique needs of each young person.
  • Supporting young people with daily activities, education, and recreational pursuits, fostering their growth and development.
  • Maintaining a safe and supportive living environment, encouraging trust and respect among all residents.
  • Building strong relationships with young people, providing emotional support, guidance, and advocacy when needed.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely documentation of resident progress and care provided.

Requirements for Success:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or be willing and eligible to obtain prior to commencement.
  • Availability to work across a full shift pattern, including mornings, evenings, and sleepovers.
  • A valid Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • An attained or working towards relevant Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or Certificate IV in Community Services, Youth/Social Work, or related field.
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a support work-related field.
