Social Media Engagement Volunteer Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a large online community and contribute to impactful conversations.

As a Social Media Engagement Volunteer, you will be working within the social media landscape, moderating comments and engaging with supporters across various platforms.

The role requires strong written communications skills, excellent understanding of social media, and the ability to educate misinformation.

A strong passion for environmental issues, climate change, and social responsibility is highly desirable.

About the position:

  • Deliver meaningful conversations with online supporters through comment moderation, direct messaging, and tagging.
  • Educate users on how they can help take action on current campaigns and organisational activities.
  • Participate in community outreach activities, sourcing user-generated content and giving an 'active voice' across news updates and content.
  • Help monitor content trends and interaction data, making reports to the Social Media Coordinator.

Key requirements:

We are seeking individuals with excellent written communication skills, a genuine interest in the social media landscape, climate change, and the environment. Training and ongoing support will be provided. The ideal candidate should commit to spending 2-5 hours a week inspiring supporters to take action to protect our planet.
