About the Opportunity

As our Associate Director – Defence, you'll play a lead role in delivering expert project management services across complex and strategically significant Defence programs.

  • Oversee planning, scheduling, project controls, and performance reporting;
  • Ensure all work aligns with clients' expectations, quality standards, and Defence requirements;
  • Engage with stakeholders at all levels, supporting Defence clients across the full project lifecycle;
  • Contribute to strategic business planning, drive best practice, and build long-term relationships.
Your Responsibilities
  • Lead Defence projects in line with agreed scope, schedules, and objectives;
  • Implement project plans to ensure milestones are met within budget and aligned with strategic goals;
  • Interpret complex data and provide clear insights to support key project decisions;
  • Develop client reports, submissions, and presentations, ensuring high-quality, timely deliverables;
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Defence clients and stakeholders;
  • Contribute to business planning and support sustainable growth of Defence services;
  • Drive new business opportunities through active involvement in proposals and industry engagement.
Requirements
  • 10+ years industry experience, with minimum 5 years in Defence and contractor's experience;
  • Proven experience in project planning, program scheduling, and/or project controls on below-the-line defence projects;
  • Demonstrated experience in working on complex projects with a high level of understanding of the Defence environment;
  • Leadership experience with ability to develop, mentor, and coach team members;
  • Relevant qualifications in fields such as Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, or Business/Commerce;
  • NV1 security clearance (or willingness to obtain).
