About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Allied Health Assistant to join our team at Plena Healthcare in Melbourne Mornington Peninsula. As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality clinical services to our clients in Residential Aged Care settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering clinical services to clients in accordance with Plena Healthcare's operating procedures and policies.
  • Service RAC clients in accordance with Allied Health Professionals treatment plans.
  • Transport residents to and from therapy gym areas or appointments.
  • Set up and pack away physiotherapy equipment and clean the area.
  • Collect referrals and perform administrative tasks as guided by physiotherapists.
  • Order prescribed equipment and support initiatives to meet client and contract expectations.
  • Consult with physiotherapists and occupational therapists on adaptations, changes, and progressions of treatment plans.
  • Participate in mentoring, supervision, and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure.
Requirements
  • Minimum Cert III Allied Health Assistant or equivalent.
  • Australian working rights.
  • Willingness to obtain NDIS workers screening and National Police Check.
  • Healthcare knowledge.
  • Time management and accountability.
  • Clinical knowledge.
  • Communication skills.
  • Driver's license and reliable car.
