Vce Coordinator Job Description

The Vce Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless delivery of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) program.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining oversight of all annual processes for VCE delivery, guaranteeing regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinating procedures with Heads of Department and Middle School to produce examination papers for internal MLC examinations and trial GAT.
  • Ensuring VCE administration procedures are carried out in accordance with VCAA and MLC guidelines.
  • Collating VCE coursework assessment dates across all studies.
  • Rescheduling VCE assessments after student absences.
  • Managing examination procedures for internal MLC examinations, adhering to VCAA regulations.
  • Organizing the MLC trial GAT.
  • Liaising with the Chief Supervisor for VCE external examinations.
  • Handling VCE-specific reporting aspects in the Senior School, including concerns regarding students continuing in a VCE study.
  • Liaising with Learning Support regarding students with special needs, particularly at examination times.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records of student meetings and outcomes on the MLC Connect database.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a demonstrated commitment to student learning and wellbeing, effective planning and organisational skills, proven competence with technology in a learning environment, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
