Role Description:

We are seeking experienced Structural Engineers to join our dynamic team in Perth. This role involves designing and overseeing the structural components of major highway projects, ensuring they adhere to the highest standards of safety, quality, and sustainability.

  • Develop and review structural designs for bridges, overpasses, and other highway-related structures using advanced engineering software and techniques.
  • Lead structural engineering aspects of projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Perform complex structural analysis and calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of designs.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct detailed reviews and inspections of structural designs and construction work.
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to communicate design concepts and address project requirements.
  • Incorporate innovative and sustainable practices into structural designs to minimize environmental impact and optimize resource efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering, particularly in highway and bridge projects. Proficiency in structural design software such as STAAD.Pro, LUSAS, Midas Civil, Strand 7, or equivalent is also essential.

You should have strong knowledge of Main Roads WA standards and engineering practices, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. The ability to lead a small team is also desirable.
