IT Systems Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled IT systems engineer to join our team. As an IT systems engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable IT infrastructure solutions, leading systems integration across on-premises, cloud, and edge environments, administering and optimizing virtualization platforms, configuring and maintaining network infrastructure, implementing and monitoring advanced cybersecurity measures, developing and maintaining backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions, managing M365 environments, and collaborating with internal teams and clients to deliver infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable IT infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead systems integration across on-premises, cloud, and edge environments.
  • Administer and optimize virtualization platforms.
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure.
  • Implement and monitor advanced cybersecurity measures.
  • Develop and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
  • Manage M365 environments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in a similar IT systems engineering role.
  • Strong technical expertise in Windows & Linux server environments, enterprise networking, cloud platforms, virtualization, and security frameworks.
  • Experience integrating IT with OT systems.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering (preferred).
