About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Change and Communications Officer to join our Business Services branch at the Australian Federal Police. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of change initiatives and ensuring effective communication across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement change management strategies to support project goals and organizational outcomes.
  • Create and execute communications plans to ensure consistent and clear messaging across all channels.
  • Design and distribute content across various internal channels, adhering to AFP brand guidelines.
  • Develop training support materials to help employees adapt to new processes, systems, and structures.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver communications outputs in line with AFP processes and standards.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and focus groups to gather input and feedback from stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Australian citizenship.
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering communications within an ADKAR change management framework.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and distributing communications products across various internal channels.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Experience using graphic design programs to create visual communications products.
  • Experience developing learning or training materials.
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or change management.
