Job Description:

The primary function of this role is to manage the preparation and execution of Bayu Undan asset removal and disposal activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for mitigating or minimizing risk to the business through proactive collaboration within the Bayu Undan Decommissioning (BUD) team.

Additionally, they will engage effectively and timely with internal Santos stakeholders, external consultants, regulators, community stakeholders, and service providers.

Key responsibilities include complying with industry, company standards, and processes; actively seeking opportunities for continuous improvement and driving efficiencies.

They will also be responsible for engagement/selection through execution and closeout, including progress reporting and cost tracking.

Furthermore, the candidate will package engineer for coordinating and managing contractors responsible for dismantling and disposing of recovered subsea items delivered to Tibar Port.

They will also support project engineers in the FSO decontamination scope.

Responsibilities also include preparing tender documentation, including development of scopes of work, deliverables, technical, and contractual clarifications.

Additionally, they will perform a technical and commercial review of tendered submissions.

Supporting the procurement team through the contract award process is another key responsibility.

The candidate will also manage contractors to ensure their respective engineering includes safety in design and meeting their contractual obligations and work proceeding accordingly to approved schedules and approval plans.

Liaising with Company-appointed marine warranty surveyors is also required where applicable.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess strong project management skills, excellent communication skills, and experience working on oil tankers/FSO's/FPSO's.

They should have a Marine Master Class 1/ Chief officer certification and hands-on experience with condensate/LPG cleaning and CSE management for cleaning and decontamination.

Project Management experience and willingness to work on an equal-time FIFO roster as offshore/site company representatives in Timor Leste are essential.

This assignment is initially offered for 12 months and engaged via Chandler Macleod.

Location for this assignment is Perth, WA, working full-time office hours with some requirement for travel.
