Payments Engineering Lead

The role involves leading complex software solutions at the heart of our platform while fostering a motivated engineering team.
You'll champion career development and mentorship, drive technical direction, and ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
The focus will be on payments engineering capabilities, including Australian payment systems, real-time processing, card issuance, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the professional growth of software engineers in your team
- Set and maintain engineering standards, advocate for code excellence, and create a culture of continuous improvement
- Develop and implement technical strategies, provide architectural decisions, and oversee feature implementation
- Collaborate with product managers and principal engineers to guide the roadmap and align with organizational goals and best practices
- Ensure technical project delivery, ensuring features are completed on time and within scope
- Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers
- Strong technical background with hands-on experience building large-scale SaaS solutions
- Excellent teamwork skills that foster productive relationships and contribute to organizational culture
- Effectively handle complex problems and manage reactive programming
