Slade Pharmacy is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at St. John of God Murdoch Hospital in Western Australia. This is a unique opportunity for experienced Pharmacy Technicians to gain hands-on experience and broaden their career in a hospital environment.
About the Role
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in preparing prescriptions, handling customer queries, and ensuring the timely supply of medications. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality pharmacy services to hospital staff, patients, and customers
- Dispensing and supplying medications for hospital and cancer patients
- Assisting with imprest and pharmacy inventory management
- Delivering and collecting medications to and from hospital wards
- Entering patient-specific data into the pharmacy database
- Assisting with patient account enquiries and resolving issues
- Liaising with hospital staff and associated personnel
- Supporting the pharmacy team with general administrative tasks
Requirements and Qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician with dispensing experience in an Australian pharmacy setting. Essential requirements include:
- Dispensing experience in an Australian based hospital or community pharmacy
- Ability to address patient needs with confidentiality, sensitivity, and professionalism
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in a team environment
Preferred requirements include:
- Dispensary Technician Certificate or equivalent as recognised by the Pharmacy Board of Australia
