Underground Geological Expert

We are seeking an experienced Underground Geologist to join our dynamic team at Mungari. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to drive optimum ore extraction and contribute to the success of our leading operation.

As an Underground Geologist, you will be responsible for:

  • Taking charge of detailed underground geological mapping, both ore and waste
  • Managing daily production data and ore tracking
  • Logging drill holes accurately and efficiently
  • Delivering thorough and structured core logging

To succeed in this role, you will have a minimum of one year's experience working in an underground environment and possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 2-3 years industry experience in mine geology and grade control practices
  • A minimum of 1 year experience underground
  • Understanding of geology work standards and practices
  • Experience working within narrow vein gold mining (highly desirable)
  • Contractor management and familiarity with mine planning (highly desirable)
  • Intermediate skills with modelling software and database software
  • Understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail, strong organisational and time management skills
